Programme Overview

The School of Agriculture at Kaveri University, Gowraram, Hyderabad offers a four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree programme typically structured into eight semesters combining theoretical knowledge, practical applications, skill & ability enhancement courses, field work, internships, research and ethical values. Kaveri University is the first private university with in-house academia and collaborations with Netafim Irrigation, TAFE, Marut Drones, BIPA etc. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, our curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of modern and regenerative agricultural practices, technology integration (agritech), experiential learning and entrepreneurship.

The fully residential B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme envisions fostering a generation of agricultural professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and unique ability to adapt to emerging global challenges of climate change, water security, soil health, food & nutritional security, SDGs etc. We also aim to adopt new technologies that would redefine the future of agriculture while shaping agriculture professionals with the ability to master the complexities of multinational agro-industries.

Curriculum Overview

The B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture curriculum is based on a core programme in Agriculture Sciences. Specializations and Credits are as follows:

Major & Minor courses (112 credits), Multidisciplinary courses (9 credits), Value-added courses (6 credits), Ability enhancement courses (8 credits), Skill enhancement courses (12 credits), Internship / Student READY (20 credits) and MOOCs / SWAYAM (10 Non-Gradial credits).

Eligibility Criteria

Qualify in EAPCET (formerly EAMCET) 2025 Examination or ICAR AIΕΕΑ 2025.

Qualify in Common Entrance Test for Agriculture UG Course in different states (For Example: KCET, CG PAT, CUET-UG, MHT CET, AGRICET, AP EAMCET, TNAU CET etc.)

Note:
(i) Students getting admitted through entrance test mode need to have 60% or equivalent grade in 10+2 from any Statutory Board.
(ii) Exact cut-off rank would be announced upon declaration of results.
