SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 — In a major milestone for student welfare and campus advancement, Kaveri University officially inaugurated two state-of-the-art facilities: ‘Sahavasa Hall’, a massive central dining facility, and the ‘Kaveri Champions Arena’, a premium multi-sport complex built to high international standards. The landmark event successfully blended physical infrastructure development with crucial digital literacy, highlighting the university’s progressive vision of balancing Student Wellness, Academic Rigor, and Real-World Safety. Chief Guest Ms. Sadhana Rashmi Perumal, IPS, Commissioner of Police for Siddipet District, graced the occasion alongside university dignitaries and corporate leaders to celebrate this massive leap forward.
The newly unveiled sports and dining infrastructure is meticulously engineered to enrich daily campus life and foster holistic growth among the student community. The grand Sahavasa Hall stands out as a modern, ultra-hygienic social hub capable of serving 1,500 individuals simultaneously, ensuring a vibrant and comfortable dining experience. Right next to it, the Kaveri Champions Arena serves as a premier sports hub equipped with dedicated, professional-grade courts for Volleyball, Kabaddi, Futsal, Box Cricket, Basketball, and Pickleball. Commending these additions, Chancellor Sri G. V. Bhaskar Rao and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao urged the student body to fully utilize these dynamic spaces to cultivate discipline, sportsmanship, and physical fitness.
Prior to cutting the ribbons for the new structures, Chief Guest Ms. Sadhana Rashmi Perumal, IPS, took center stage to deliver a highly interactive and critical Cybersecurity Awareness session. Addressing the digital vulnerabilities faced by today’s youth, the Police Commissioner provided concrete, actionable safety protocols to help students defend themselves against modern online threats. She strongly urged the audience to practice strict data privacy by avoiding sharing family details with strangers, to safeguard accounts using complex passwords changed routinely, and to verify all email attachments carefully. Most importantly, she outlined swift incident reporting protocols, advising students to instantly contact local police or cybercrime authorities the moment they detect fraud or online harassment.
The grand double-inauguration and awareness drive saw a powerful turnout, drawing top-tier leadership from academia, law enforcement, and corporate sectors. Prominent attendees included Executive Directors from Kaveri Seeds (Dr. G. Pawan, C. Vamsheedar, and Mithun Chand) alongside senior police officials like ACP K. Narsimhulu and Circle Inspector D.
