The B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things) is a four-year program divided into eight semesters, comprising a total of 163 credits. The curriculum includes a balanced mix of core courses, electives, laboratory work, and project-based learning, designed to progressively build students’ technical knowledge and practical skills.
Semesters 1 & 2: Foundation Stage: Focuses on building a strong foundation in Mathematics, Basic Sciences, and Computer Science fundamentals. Students are introduced to programming, problem-solving techniques, and basic electronics concepts. The curriculum also includes engineering graphics and communication skills to enhance visualization, teamwork, and professional interaction.
Semesters 3 & 4: Core Engineering Fundamentals: Focuses on developing core competencies in computer science and electronics. Students learn data structures, object-oriented programming, digital electronics, and microprocessors. The curriculum integrates networking fundamentals and database management systems to support IoT system development and connectivity.
Semesters 5 & 6: IoT Core & Applications: Focuses on advanced IoT concepts including embedded systems, sensor networks, wireless communication, and cloud integration. Students gain hands-on experience in designing IoT architectures, interfacing hardware devices, and building smart applications.
