Research and Development Cell

The Research and Development (R&D) Cell at Kaveri University is a central institutional body established to promote, facilitate, and coordinate research and innovation across all disciplines. It aims to cultivate a robust research ecosystem aligned with national priorities, global standards, and the university’s vision of becoming a Multidisciplinary Education and Research University (MERU).

R&D Cell - Mission

  • To foster a research-driven academic culture that encourages inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking
  • To support faculty, researchers, and students in undertaking interdisciplinary and translational research
  • To enable collaborations with industry, academia, and government for research funding, consultancy, and knowledge transfer

R&D Cell – Governance Structure

The R&D Cell is led by a Dean/Director (Research & Development) and functions with the support of the following:

  • Research Advisory Committee (RAC) – provides strategic direction
  • Departmental Research Committees (DRCs) – oversee discipline-specific activities
  • IP and Technology Transfer Committee – manages innovation, IP protection, and commercialization
  • Proposal Review and Evaluation Committee – evaluates internal and external project proposals
