The Placement Cell at Kaveri University serves as a pivotal interface between students and the industry. Its primary objective is to facilitate meaningful employment opportunities, internships, and career advancement pathways for students across disciplines. The Cell also plays a critical role in preparing students to meet the evolving expectations of the global job market through structured training, guidance, and industry engagement.

Key Functions and Activities

Placement Drives and Recruitment Facilitation

  • Organizes on-campus, virtual, and pooled placement drives for final-year students
  • Maintains an active database of recruiters and job opportunities across sectors
  • Coordinates pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, group discussions, and interviews.

Internship Support

  • Facilitates industry internships, mandatory for most programs, especially in B.Tech, Agriculture, and Management streams
  • Maintains internship databases and monitors performance feedback
  • Collaborates with startups, research labs, CSR units, and NGOs for diverse internship experiences

Training and Skill Development

  • Regular sessions on aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and technical skills
  • Soft skills and communication workshops, resume building, and interview preparation
  • Specialized training modules in coding, analytics, public speaking, and domain-specific tools

Career Counseling and Mentoring

  • One-on-one career guidance sessions and group mentoring by faculty and industry experts
  • Psychometric tests and personality assessments for personalized career planning
  • Alumni interactions for real-world insights and career success stories

Industry Interface and Partnerships

  • Hosts industry-academia conclaves, guest lectures, and panel discussions
  • Facilitates industry visits, live projects, and collaborative capstone projects
  • Signs MoUs with corporate partners for placement pipeline development

Entrepreneurship & Startup Support

  • Works in close collaboration with the Innovation & Incubation Centre
  • Guides students with business ideas on startup registration, seed funding, and incubation
  • Organizes entrepreneurship bootcamps, pitch events, and mentorship from startup founders.

Infrastructure and Digital Platform

  • A dedicated Placement Office with interview rooms, seminar halls, and IT support
  • Access to a Placement Management Portal for online registration, job alerts, resume uploads, and feedback tracking
  • Virtual placement infrastructure for conducting remote assessments and interviews

Outcomes and Recruiters

  • Increasing placements in sectors such as Information Technology, AgriTech, FinTech, Education, Consulting, and Research
  • Recruiters include leading corporates, startups, research institutions, and social enterprises
