Prof. S. As the 26th Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University (2016–2019), Prof. Ramachandram provided transformative leadership during a defining phase in the institution’s history. He successfully steered the University through its landmark Centenary Celebrations, revitalizing its academic and institutional stature while preserving its rich legacy. Under his stewardship, Osmania University achieved the prestigious NAAC A+ accreditation and secured UGC Category-I Autonomous Status—milestones that reaffirmed its standing among India’s premier higher education institutions. His tenure was marked by strategic reforms, academic innovation, and a strong commitment to institutional excellence.

An eminent scholar in Computer Science and Engineering, Prof. Ramachandram has devoted more than three decades to teaching, research, and mentoring. His areas of expertise include Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Distributed Systems, and Emerging Digital Technologies. With over 110 research publications, several scholarly books, and the successful guidance of more than twenty doctoral scholars, he has made enduring contributions to the advancement of computing sciences. His vision for technology-enabled governance led to the establishment of advanced digital infrastructure, including a state-of-the-art Data Centre and secure online evaluation systems that modernized university administration and academic processes.

Following his tenure at Osmania University, Prof. Ramachandram continued his mission of academic transformation as the Founding Vice-Chancellor of Anurag University, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s academic framework and growth trajectory. He also continues to contribute to national initiatives in digital transformation and technology policy through his association with professional and industry bodies, including the Bharath Digital Infrastructure Association.
