Dr. R.C. Agrawal is a distinguished leader in India’s agricultural education and research ecosystem, currently serving at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). With a strong academic foundation in Agricultural Statistics from IARI, he has been instrumental in transforming agricultural higher education in India.
He has led the World Bank-supported National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP), significantly enhancing quality, innovation, and employability across agricultural institutions. His leadership spans policy development, digital agriculture, and plant variety protection, including his tenure at PPVFRA.
A recipient of prestigious honors such as the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award and the Digital India Gold Award, he continues to drive innovation through key digital initiatives like Krishi Megh and Agri-Diksha.
