The School of Agriculture at Kaveri University, Gowraram, Hyderabad, offers a four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) AgriTech degree programme structured across eight semesters. This programme has been newly designed by Kaveri University to address the existing gaps in conventional agricultural education, particularly the limited integration of technology, engineering, and data-driven decision-making in current curricula. The course aims to bridge the disconnect between traditional agricultural practices and rapidly evolving technological advancements in the sector. The curriculum integrates agricultural sciences with modern engineering and digital technologies, combining classroom instruction with practical training, skill and ability enhancement courses, field exposure, industry interaction, internships, project-based learning, and experiential education. Designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the programme provides a strong interdisciplinary foundation in agriculture, engineering, and emerging agritech domains, ensuring students are better equipped to meet the demands of modern, technology-driven agriculture.

The B.Sc. (Hons.) AgriTech programme is uniquely structured through the integration of the School of Agriculture (SoA), School of Engineering (SoE), and industry-supported modules (IBM), enabling students to develop competencies in both core agricultural sciences and technology-driven applications. The curriculum emphasizes areas such as precision agriculture, smart farming, artificial intelligence, data analytics, agricultural informatics, IoT in agriculture, farm mechanization, climate-resilient agriculture, and digital agri-business platforms, alongside fundamental crop production and resource management practices.

The programme aims to develop a new generation of agri-professionals equipped with strong scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and digital skills to address contemporary agricultural challenges. Interdisciplinary curriculum integrating Agriculture, Engineering, and industry-supported IBM modules, aligned with NEP 2020.

Student READY / RAWE / Industrial Attachment / Internship (20 credits) in the final semester for intensive field and industry exposure.

10 non-graded MOOC / online course credits through platforms such as SWAYAM and NPTEL to encourage continuous learning.

Focus on entrepreneurship, digital agriculture, agri-supply chains, and technology-driven decision-making, preparing students for careers in agritech, agribusiness, startups, research, and allied sectors.

Specializations Offered

The B.Sc. (Hons.) AgriTech curriculum is designed as a multidisciplinary programme integrating agricultural sciences, engineering, and industry-oriented technology modules. The programme comprises Agriculture Core Courses – 80 credits, Engineering Fundamental Courses – 40 credits, IBM Industry Modules – 24 credits, Skill Enhancement Courses – 12 credits (across agriculture, engineering, and technology domains), Internship / Student READY – 20 credits, and Online Courses / MOOCs – 10 non-gradial credits. The total academic requirement of the programme is 160 credits + 10 non-gradial MOOC credits.

Qualify in EAPCET (Formerly EAMCET) 2026 examination OR ICAR AIEEA 2026

Qualify in Common Entrance Test for Agriculture UG Course in different states (for example, KCET, CG PAT, CUET-UG, MHT CET, AGRICET, AP EAMCET, TNAU CET etc)

Preference will be given to candidates who have appeared for a National or State-level entrance examination (such as ICAR AIEEA, State Agriculture CET, etc.).
