Dr. Santoshi Misra is an accomplished educator and researcher in Mathematical Sciences, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at Kaveri University, Gowraram, Telangana. She brings over 22 years of distinguished experience in mathematics education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, having previously served as Head of the Department of Mathematics and Dean-Student Affairs (2021–2024) at St. Ann’s College for Women (Autonomous), Hyderabad, where she provided academic leadership and coordinated national and state-level conferences, seminars, workshops, and curriculum enrichment initiatives. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from GITAM University, Telangana (2017–2021), following an M.Sc. in Mathematics with Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, both from Osmania University, with consistent distinction throughout. Her doctoral and post doctoral research strengthened her expertise in mathematical modelling, fluid dynamics, and interdisciplinary analytical methods.
With extensive teaching experience spanning Real Analysis, Advanced Real Analysis, Differential Equations, Group Theory, Ring Theory, Linear Algebra, Vector Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Lebesgue Measure and Integration, and Mathematical Modelling, her teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, analytical reasoning, and application-oriented learning for students at every level. An active researcher in Fluid Dynamics, Mathematical Modelling, MHD Flows and Nanofluids, and interdisciplinary applications of mathematics, she has authored 20 research publications-including 12 Scopus-indexed and 2 SCI-indexed (Q1 and Q3) papers-with an H-index of 3, alongside 2 published patents. As Principal Investigator, she secured a prestigious NCERT research grant of ₹4,98,750 for the project “Promoting a Culture of Risk-Taking in Mathematics Classrooms-Creating a Safe learning environment.”
She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences across India, the UAE, France, Turkiye, and Austria. Her contributions to teaching, research, and institutional service were recognized with the prestigious Telangana State Best Meritorious Teacher Award, conferred by the Government of Telangana on 5 September 2025, alongside the SARA–St. Ann’s Researcher Award, the SAMTA–St. Ann’s Meritorious Teacher Award, and the Sr. Amrutha Gold Medal (awarded thrice for research output). She continues to serve as a reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals, and remains committed to mentoring students, advancing mathematics education, and fostering interdisciplinary research and academic collaboration.
