Mrs. N. Deepthi

N. Deepthi is an emerging agricultural academic and researcher with a strong focus on agribusiness management, sustainable agriculture, rural development, and agricultural entrepreneurship. Her academic foundation is complemented by practical field exposure gained through the Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme (RAWEP) under Singhania University, where she worked closely with farming communities and developed a first-hand understanding of agricultural production systems, rural livelihoods, and farm-level challenges. She has further strengthened her teaching and professional competencies through a Faculty Development Programme at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur.

Her research interests bridge agribusiness, agricultural marketing, sustainability, input-use behaviour, digital transformation, and rural enterprise development. Her scholarly work has examined important contemporary issues, including consumer behaviour in e-commerce platforms for fresh produce in Hyderabad and farmers’ purchasing behaviour toward water-soluble fertilizers in Telangana. Through these studies, she seeks to connect market intelligence and farmer behaviour with practical strategies for improving agricultural value chains and enterprise performance.

Beyond peer-reviewed research, Deepthi has contributed book chapters on climate-smart agriculture and agribusiness project management and regularly writes for the Agriculture & Food e-Newsletter. Her articles translate complex subjects—including financial risk management, digital marketing, climate impacts, and agribusiness development—into accessible and actionable knowledge for students, rural youth, farmers, and aspiring agri-entrepreneurs. This ability to connect academic knowledge with real-world needs is a distinctive feature of her work.

Deepthi also brings strong capabilities in leadership, communication, human resource management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital productivity tools.
