Programme Structure

The B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a four-year program divided into eight semesters, comprising a total of 163 credits. The curriculum includes a balanced mix of core courses, electives, laboratory work, and project-based learning, designed to progressively build students' technical knowledge and practical skills.

Semester-wise Curriculum Overview

Semesters 1–2: Foundational Learning: Emphasis on core subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and introductory courses in Computer Science, including programming fundamentals and data structures.

Semesters 3–4: Core Computing Disciplines: Focused study of essential computing topics including software engineering, database management systems, operating systems, and computer networks.

Semesters 5–6: Advanced Topics and Electives: Introduction to specialized and elective courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and other emerging domains.

Semesters 7–8: Integration and Innovation: Students undertake a capstone project and study advanced subjects in emerging technologies, fostering innovation and industry-readiness.

The program follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and supports the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), offering flexibility and interdisciplinary learning opportunities in line with NEP 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification icon

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech. programs must have successfully completed their 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry (or relevant subjects), securing a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Admissions will be based on merit in the qualifying examination and/or performance in recognized national or state-level entrance examinations, such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or relevant State Common Entrance Tests, as per the admission guidelines of the University.
