Dr. B. Sridhar Babu is a distinguished academic, researcher, and higher-education professional with 26 years of experience spanning teaching, research, academic administration, innovation, and institutional development. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from JNTUH, Hyderabad, specializing in Mechanics of Solids, with doctoral research focused on the elasto-plastic deformation behaviour of materials for aero-engine applications. His multidisciplinary academic background is further strengthened by M.Tech. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Systems.

His research expertise spans advanced materials, manufacturing systems, mechanics of solids, nanoindentation, composites, welding, tribology, additive manufacturing, and engineering optimization. He has built a substantial scholarly portfolio comprising 34 publications in SCI/Scopus/Web of Science-indexed international journals, 18 papers in peer-reviewed journals, conference publications, books, and book chapters. His research contributions cover advanced machining, nanocomposites, lightweight materials, indentation behaviour, residual stresses, welding technologies, and composite materials. He has held key leadership responsibilities, including Dean – R&D and Dean – Innovation, Incubation and Industry, contributing to the strengthening of institutional research and innovation ecosystems.
