Dr. Ramanchi Radhika is Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at GITAM School of Business, GITAM University, Hyderabad Campus. She is an accomplished academic in finance, accounting and management with more than three decades of teaching, research and academic administration experience. Her areas of expertise include financial accounting, management accounting, costing, international financial management, financial analytics, financial institutions and markets, security analysis and portfolio management, derivatives, financial engineering, risk management, merchant banking and financial services, strategic management accounting, taxation and business law.
She holds a Ph.D. in Commerce and Management Studies from Osmania University, awarded in 2010 for her research on lending by co-operative banks to the priority sector in Ranga Reddy District. She earned an M.Phil. from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1998, an M.Com. with specialization in Accounting from Nagarjuna University in 1991, an MBA with specialization in Financial Management from Nagarjuna University in 2008, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Marketing and Management, Delhi, in 1992. She is also trained in SAP FI-CO and Tally.
Dr. Radhika has made substantial contributions to research in banking, finance, insurance, capital markets, financial inclusion, work-life balance and, more recently, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in finance. Her publication record includes a large body of research papers, book chapters and case studies, including publications indexed in Scopus and other academic databases. She has authored books including Lending by Co-operative Banks to Priority Sector, Analysis of Management of Working Capital, and Bubble Bursts and Emotional Booms: In Financial Crisis, and has contributed to edited volumes in banking, finance, tourism and hospitality. She has successfully guided five doctoral scholars at GITAM University. Her funded research includes a UGC Minor Research Project on the impact of foreign institutional investors on the Indian banking sector and an Indian Institute of Banking and Finance macro research project on the impact of demonetization on microfinance and financial inclusion.
Her academic achievements include the Best Researcher Award at GITAM University in 2018, the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance Macro Research Award for 2016-17, Second Prize at the ISB-Ivey League Global Case Competition in 2016, the Best Researcher Award from the Arunai International Research Foundation in 2017, the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award, the Best Faculty Award at the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research Technology and Innovation in Pattaya in 2018, and the IOSRD Achievers Award 2018. Her sustained engagement in teaching, research, doctoral supervision, academic leadership and professional development reflects a career devoted to strengthening management education and scholarship.
