Dr. Sivakumar Pendyala is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics with over 20 years of teaching experience in engineering education. He is committed to effective and student-centred teaching, with experience in handling courses including Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Digital Logic Design (DLD), Computer Organization (CO), Operating Systems, and Software Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, with his doctoral research focused on “Structural, Thermal, Magnetic & Dielectric Studies of Mg, Ni Doped Zn Nano Ferrites.” He also holds an M.Sc. in Physics (Material Science) from Osmania University and an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University.
His research interests are centred on nanomaterials, spinel ferrites, and nanotechnology, particularly the preparation of nanoparticles using the sol-gel auto-combustion method, investigation of their properties at different calcination temperatures, and the development of POSS-based nanohybrid composites and nano ionic liquids. His work encompasses the study of structural, magnetic, dielectric, thermal, and related properties of ferrite-based nanomaterials.
Dr. Pendyala has contributed to peer reviewed international journal publications covering topics such as Mg-doped Zn ferrite nanoparticles, Mg and Ni-substituted ferrites, calcination-temperature effects, microwave-related applications, polymer electrolytes, nanoceramics, thin-film transistors, and other advanced materials research. He possesses technical expertise in XRD, DSC, TGA, FTIR, POM, SEM, TEM, AFM, and UTM measurements and data analysis, supported by experience with research and scientific software. He has also served as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and participated in workshops related to advanced materials, material processing, research, and academic teaching practices.
