Dr. Sudeepthi Govathoti is an accomplished academician, researcher, and passionate educator in Computer Science and Engineering, with nearly 15 years of teaching and academic experience. Her professional journey reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovative pedagogy, research, student mentoring, and institutional development. With a student-centric approach, she has consistently contributed to enhancing learning outcomes and fostering an environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and continuous learning. Her research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Semantic Web, Web Technologies. She has contributed to the research community through 21 peer-reviewed journal publications and 4 international conference publications in areas including intelligent healthcare, electric vehicle adoption, cybersecurity, plant disease detection, diabetic retinopathy, air-quality monitoring, IoT, and semantic web technologies. Her publication, “A Survey on Semantic Web Search Engine,” has received 97 citations.
Dr. Govathoti has actively contributed to curriculum development, Board of Studies activities, outcome-based education, student mentoring, project guidance, and industry-oriented learning. She has facilitated student internships and coordinated workshops, guest lectures, hackathons, entrepreneurship programmes, and career-development initiatives. She has served as a CSI Student Branch Counsellor, SPEED (IUCEE) Coordinator, Academic and Student Advisory Board Coordinator, and Course Coordinator for Software Engineering, Software Testing Methodologies, and Operating Systems.
Her commitment to academic and research excellence is reflected in her role as a reviewer for reputed journals and international conferences, including IJERT, ICACII, ICICT, Green AI, and CICT. She has enhanced her professional competencies through certifications in Data Science from Alteryx, the IUCEE International Engineering Educator Program, NPTEL Software Testing, and the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP). Her professional achievements include ratification as an Assistant Professor in CSE by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, in 2017, qualification in the JNTUH Faculty Eligibility Test (FET-2011), the Best Mentor Award from GITAM University, and the Best Paper Award for “Papaya Disease Detection by Analyzing Images using AI/ML” at the EDH 2024 Conference.
She is a member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Driven by a vision of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, Dr. Govathoti is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering & Technology, where she continues to contribute to student development, research and innovation, and the academic growth of the institution.
