Dr. Sunita Mehta exemplifies a rare blend of academic excellence, corporate expertise, and distinguished national service. With over 28 years of diverse experience spanning the Indian Air Force, industry, research, and higher education, she brings to the Kaveri School of Business an extraordinary legacy of leadership, discipline, innovation, and institutional transformation.

A former Flight Lieutenant and among the pioneering women officers of the Indian Air Force, Dr. Mehta served with distinction in both technical and administrative capacities. Her tenure in the defence services was marked by exemplary professionalism, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to organizational development and gender sensitization. The values of integrity, resilience, and service that defined her military career continue to guide her leadership philosophy today.

Her academic journey reflects an unwavering pursuit of excellence. She holds a B.Tech degree from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, an M.S. from BITS Pilani, an MBA from Symbiosis International University, and an Executive Programme in Global Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, specializing in Leadership and Organizational Change, laying the foundation for her acclaimed contributions to management education and research.

An internationally recognized researcher and case author, Dr. Mehta has published more than twenty research papers and numerous award-winning teaching cases through globally respected platforms such as Harvard Business Publishing, Ivey Publishing, and The Case Centre. Her scholarly work in leadership, organizational change, responsible management, and digital transformation has enriched classrooms and executive learning environments across the world.

Her achievements have been recognized through several prestigious accolades, including First Prize in the EFMD Case Writing Competition for Responsible Leadership (2021), along with top honors in case-writing competitions organized by leading institutions such as the Indian School of Business (ISB), Ivey Publishing, and XLRI. These accomplishments underscore her commitment to advancing management education through innovative, practice-oriented learning.

As the leader of the Kaveri School of Business, Dr. Mehta plays a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant ecosystem of academic excellence, industry engagement, and leadership development. She has designed and delivered numerous Management Development Programmes (MDPs) and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) focused on leadership, emotional intelligence, team building, organizational effectiveness, and case-based pedagogy. Her expertise in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Leadership Development, and Change Management equips students and professionals with the skills required to thrive in a dynamic global environment.
