On central deputation, she served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and as Director General of National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), where she contributed significantly to agricultural extension, institutional reforms, and rural development initiatives.
As an Ex-Officio Member of the Governing Body of Kaveri University, Dr. Rana plays a vital role in ensuring alignment of the university’s academic and governance systems with the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), UGC regulations, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Her extensive experience in public administration, education, healthcare, and agriculture continues to guide innovation-driven, socially responsive, and future-oriented higher education initiatives.
Kaveri University was established as per the Telangana Private Universities (Establishment & Regulation) Act, 2018 under section 3.
