The event began with a creative portrait designed by students to depict the impact of pollution and climate change on Earth. The artwork was prepared using natural and recyclable materials such as sand, leaves, cloth pieces, coal, and cardboard, symbolizing the urgent call to move away from harmful practices like excessive plastic use.

The session commenced at 6:50 AM with a brief introduction and welcome address, followed by a serene and well-structured yoga practice led by Ms. Veena and Mr. Rohith. The practice included foundational asanas, breathing techniques (pranayama), and a short meditation. The session concluded at 8:15 AM with a vote of thanks.
Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage in such a revitalizing and mindful activity. The event successfully fostered awareness of the importance of regular yoga practice for holistic health and stress management.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. P.V. Vara Prasad, Professor of Crop Ecophysiology and Director of the Center for Sustainable Intensification and Sorghum Improvement at Kansas State University, USA, to Kaveri University.
A globally renowned authority in climate-resilient agriculture, Dr. Prasad delivered compelling insights on a wide range of cutting-edge themes—crop responses to environmental stress, mechanisation, resource-use efficiency, and emerging technologies including AI, IoT, robotics, drones, as well as genomics, phenomics, speed breeding, and biosecurity. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications and collaborative engagements across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, his visit was truly enriching for our academic and research community.
Dr. Prasad commended the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, applauding their commitment to building a future-ready institution anchored in AgriTech-driven research, innovation, and global academic excellence.
A major highlight of the visit was the reaffirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kaveri University and Kansas State University , which lays the foundation for a robust
international partnership. The collaboration aims to:
• Launch joint research initiatives in areas such as natural resource management (NRM), climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture
