Mushroom cultivation is emerging as a sustainable agri-business with high income potential and minimal land requirements. India is the second-largest producer of mushrooms in Asia, with growing demand for button, oyster, milky, and medicinal mushrooms. This 6-month, hands-on skilling program at Kaveri University trains students in scientific methods of Mushroom production, processing, and entrepreneurship. The course includes 70% practical, 15% theory, and 15% field exposure to other units.
